This morning we got up at 4:00 a.m. to beat the crowds to the Grand Canyon. After some initial teen grumpiness (“I’m not going!”) and car sickness (“Can you pass me the puke bag?”), we made it. We weren’t early enough to see the sunrise over the Canyon, but we didn’t have to wait to enter and there was plenty of parking. It is not my first visit, but I forget how vast and magnificent it is to be there. It just doesn’t feel real. I’ve started my week out on a good note- I hope you were able to also. #monochromemonday
I took this photograph today near Mather Point, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. I used a Nikon Z5 camera using a NIKKOR Z 24-70mm ƒ/2.8 S lens (1/400 sec at ƒ/5.0, ISO 100, 69mm). I edited the image in Adobe Lightroom.
